Man severely injured in Connecticut motorcycle crash

An early morning crash has led to serious injuries for one man. The Connecticut man was riding his motorcycle when it crashed into the back of an SUV. A recent news story gives more details about the tragic motorcycle crash and the status of the motorcycle rider. 

The accident happened on a recent Wednesday at approximately 7:20 a.m. The preliminary investigation indicates that the rider, who was not wearing a helmet, crashed into the back of an SUV after the SUV changed lanes. Authorities are still investigating the incident, which occurred during a time of moderate traffic, and urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call police. 

The man’s condition is listed as critical. He suffered life-threatening injuries, including a significant head injury, as a result of the collision. First responders transported him to a local hospital. He was identified as a 67-year-old man, but his name was not released initially so that family members could be notified first. 

The Connecticut motorcycle crash will certainly leave the man with significant medical bills and recovery costs should he survive his injuries. After authorities conclude their investigation, they will be able to assess fault in the accident. Should the evidence suggest that the other party was at fault for causing the man’s injuries, that party may be sued in civil court for damages, including medical bills and pain and suffering.
