Reports indicate that the woman was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Quality Street. Officers say that she made the turn in front of an oncoming motorcycle. Trumbull police officers report that there were no one else injured in the crash.

The scene where the collision occurred was closed for hours, and the cause of the fatal wreck is being investigated by the Trumbull Police Department Accident Investigation Unit. According to sources, the Monroe Police Department is also assisting with the investigation. It was not reported if the Honda driver would be facing any charges in connection to the accident.

The sudden loss of a loved one in a crash could cause financial difficulties as family members try to cope with final expenses. Even if an at-fault driver is not criminally charged, he or she could still face civil sanctions. In the event that a deceased victim’s family decides to pursue a wrongful death claim, a personal injury attorney could provide them with assistance in filing it. The attorney could examine police reports to determine if an accident was caused by negligence. Families of victims may be entitled to compensation for funeral expenses and lost income as well as noneconomic damages such as loss of companionship.
