Crash! The sudden collision of metal on metal, tires screeching and then everything stops. A motor vehicle collision can do extreme emotional, mental and physical damage. A fatal accident does not simply leave a destroyed vehicle behind; it also leaves loved ones grieving. Multiple Connecticut families have recently experienced the heartbreak that comes with an automobile accident.
A car crash involving three cars occurred midmorning one Tuesday. The collision caused authorities to shut the road down for approximately the following three hours. The chain reaction accident began when one man lost control of his automobile and collided with another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. This initial crash sent the second vehicle into the path of a box truck.
The driver of the vehicle beginning the accident, as well as the two people in the second car — a 78-year-old and a 77-year-old — were all transported to a nearby hospital, but were pronounced dead not long after. The 59-year-old driver of the box truck was also taken to the hospital, treated for his injuries and later released. No charges or citations have been filed regarding this multiple-vehicle accident, but officials continue to investigate its factors and causes.
This tragic accident in Connecticut claimed the lives of three people, leaving shocked and heartbroken loved ones in their wake. A fatal accident like this one can be extremely emotionally trying. The loved ones of those killed in the accident can file civil claims against the man who collided with their vehicle.
