Car crash injures 2, 1 with serious injury

On Behalf of | Dec 19, 2013 | Car Accidents, Firm News

It goes without saying that most people take transportation for granted since it is a regular part of their lives. Each day, most Connecticut residents wake up, get ready, get into their car, make their way to work and punch the clock. After work, they hop back into their car and run errands on their way home. Most of the time, residents do not even consider the fact that they risk serious injury each and every day, from the minute they leave their driveway until they return.

A recent early-morning crash left two residents injured. It also left authorities with many unanswered questions. A man and a woman were both in the car when it crashed, but it was not immediately clear which of the two individuals was driving. Both occupants of the car were injured in the crash.

The woman reportedly sustained minor injuries due to the collision. The man, however, had to be extricated from the vehicle. Both occupants of the car were transported to a local hospital for treatment, although the man was transported via Lifestar, according to authorities. He was expected to recover from his injuries.

Authorities were still investigating the cause of the accident at last report. Possible causes that authorities often investigate in such incidents include speeding, drugs, alcohol and other reckless behavior. If the driver’s actions are proven to be negligent, the occupant with the serious injury may have the right to seek restitution under Connecticut law. As with all car accidents, this particular personal injury claim can help compensate a victim for any pain and suffering, medical bills and lost wages, among other things.
