When a person parks their car along the curb, the last thing they expect is to find that their car has been involved in a crash when they return. A recent Connecticut accident involved parked cars, and caused serious injury to two people and a number of vehicles. Several people could potentially seek reimbursement for damage to property, as well as medical expenses.
The late-afternoon accident occurred when a Connecticut woman drove her car into the back end of a parked car. The collision purportedly caused a chain reaction as it shoved the parked car into the next one and so on. A total of four parked cars were involved in the accident. The reason for the driver hitting the parked car has not been released. The police traffic division is investigating the collision to determine if alcohol may have been a factor.
Tragically, a man who appears to have been asleep in the back seat of one of the parked cars suffered serious injury in the crash. He was taken to a nearby hospital and was reported to be in critical condition. The woman driving was also injured, though not as severely. She was transported to another local hospital. At this time, additional injuries have not been reported, and the extent of property damage has not been shared.
This Connecticut crash caused serious injury. Responsibility for fault of this accident could be assigned by a court of law to the woman who was driving. The man who suffered serious injury in the accident may wish to seek restitution for medical expenses and any long-term disabilities he could suffer as a result. In addition, he, along with the owners of the vehicles that were hit, may be permitted to seek financial help with repairing any damage to their property.
