Pedestrian accident injures local woman

On Behalf of | Feb 21, 2019 | Firm News, pedestrian accidents

Connecticut residents certainly know to be mindful of traffic while traveling on foot. Unfortunately, crossing the street is not the only danger for people out walking. Recently, a story about a pedestrian accident serves as a warning to the local community.

A 57-year-old woman was walking across a parking lot, approaching the entrance to a fire department. Out of nowhere, a person driving a Jeep reportedly struck the woman. As a result, she suffered a serious head injury. She was immediately rushed to a local hospital. Certainly, the woman did not expect that merely crossing a parking lot could nearly end her life.

Police are hoping to discover more details about the incident. So far, it seems that the driver of the Jeep was attempting to execute a left turn when the accident occurred. Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed or been involved in the accident to contact police.

A pedestrian accident can have lasting implications for an injured victim. Pain and suffering, medical bills and loss of wages are all serious concerns that a victim must contend with in the event of such an accident. In many cases, Connecticut victims choose to seek assistance from an experienced personal injury attorney. An attorney can help a client pursue justice against an errant driver by pursuing a monetary judgment for the injuries that were suffered as the result of another person’s careless actions. A pedestrian who has suffered serious injuries should not have to suffer alone, and an attorney can offer professional assistance every step of the way.
