Connecticut State Police are currently investigating the cause of a two vehicle crash that left three people injured. The head-on collision is said to have occurred in Stafford. One of the victims reportedly sustained serious injuries.

Authorities were called to tend to this accident just before 11:00 p.m. on March 12. Upon their arrival, first responders found that two vehicles, a sedan and a pickup truck, had collided head-on. The driver of the car — a 30-year-old male — had to be extricated from his vehicle. He was airlifted to a medical facility with significant injuries. The driver of the truck — a 23-year-old male — and his passenger — a 21-year-old male — were also injured in the wreck and were taken to a nearby hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.

At this time, police have not indicated which driver may have caused this collision or if any outside factors contributed to the wreck. Authorities are asking for any witnesses to the incident to please come forward. It is unknown if any charges are expected in this case.

A head-on collision, such as this one, can have very serious consequences for all involved. Three gentleman were hurt as a result of this wreck, which could affect them physically and mentally for the rest of their lives. After the investigation into this incident has been completed, the individual deemed responsible may be held liable for any damages suffered by the victim or victims. Personal injury claims filed in a Connecticut civil court, if successfully litigated, could result in the awarding of compensation for any recoverable damages.
