Investigators in Connecticut are currently looking into the cause of a tour bus crash that injured dozens of people. At least six victims are believed to be in critical condition. This is just one of many car accidents that occurred across the state, possibly due to snowy weather conditions.
This particular crash occurred Feb. 8, on I-95 in Madison. It has been reported that 60 passengers were on the bus, 30 of whom were injured. Those who were injured were transported to Yale-New Haven hospital for treatment. The current conditions of those hurt is not known at this time. Those who were not injured were taken to a nearby school gym until new transportation could be arranged.
The bus, which was traveling from New York City to a Connecticut casino, appears to have slid off the road and turned on its side. A total of 10 ambulances were called to the scene. Authorities have yet to indicate what caused this incident or if the driver will be cited. It is believed that no other vehicles were involved.
Those who were injured in this bus accident may have legal recourse. Civil claims may be filed against the bus driver and the tour company in a Connecticut court, in an effort for the victims to seek compensation. After car accidents such as this one the personal losses can be quite severe. Personal injury claims, if successfully navigated, can result in victims achieving fair and full compensation for the various physical, financial and psychological damages they have likely sustained.
