Connecticut car accident leaves 5 injured

On Behalf of | Jun 4, 2014 | Car Accidents, Firm News

Authorities report that a three-car accident in Plainfield in the morning of May 30 left five individuals with injuries. All of the people involved in the auto accident were taken to a hospital for treatment. According to the Plainfield Police Department, the drivers and passengers were still inside of their vehicles cars when the police, fire department, American Legion Ambulance and Killingly Ambulance responders arrived at the scene.

The female driver of a Kia Amanti was traveling northbound on Norwich Road. Reports say that two vehicles slowed to a stop at the light at the intersection of Norwich Road and Dow Road as the woman glanced out the window of her vehicle. As a result, the Kia hit a Pontiac Vibe, which then hit a Honda Accord.

The severity of the injuries suffered by the individuals involved in this accident were not detailed in reports. However, because all the victims were taken to hospitals to receive treatment, they may be faced with large bills. In addition, some of the victims may not be able to work while they recover from their injuries. However, through personal injury lawsuits, they could seek compensation for those damages.

In this case, if the plaintiffs are able to build a case that demonstrates her negligence, the woman who was driving the Kia in the accident may be held liable for those financial losses. While pursuing the case, the injured individuals may seek the services of a personal injury attorney. That attorney could provide representation throughout proceedings and might be able to negotiate a settlement with the defendant that provides compensation and allows the plaintiffs to a potentially lengthy trial.
