Fatal accident in Connecticut claims 1 life

On Behalf of | Apr 26, 2016 | Fatal Motor Vehicle Accidents, Firm News

A young man in Connecticut lost his life after his vehicle was struck by another car. The fatal accident is said to have occurred on April 18 in Bridgeport. The driver believed to be responsible for this incident is being investigated by local authorities.

According to reports, police claim that a 20-year-old male was speeding and had run through several intersections before his vehicle plowed into another car. The driver of the impacted vehicle — a 22-year-old male — was ejected from his SUV. Sadly, he died at the accident scene.

Before the accident occurred, police were supposedly attempting to pull over the driver thought responsible. After the crash happened, this individual is said to have run from the scene. He was later identified, though, and is cooperating with authorities. It was reported that no charges have been filed as of yet in this case. However, the driver supposedly admitted to having been impaired at the time of the crash.

A very young man, with his whole life still before him, lost his life in this tragic event. For his surviving family members, dealing with the aftermath of this fatal accident may certainly be challenging in a number of ways. With legal assistance, they may be able to seek damages in a Connecticut civil court for the various losses they have experienced as a result of this wreck. While taking legal action may not always be easy, if it is successful, the family may achieve financial relief, closure and a sense of justice.
