Edward McManus has been an active trial lawyer in Connecticut since 1999. Ed's practice brings him into the arenas of civil litigation and criminal defense. He has devoted his practice to representing clients injured as a result of negligence, defective products, medical malpractice and dog bites. In addition, Ed regularly represents client's accused of crimes, from DWI cases to serious felonies.

In trials and mediations throughout Connecticut, Ed has recovered substantial verdicts and settlements for clients with serious injuries or who have died as a result of the negligence of others. He has represented clients whose injuries vary in severity from cervical sprains to catastrophic traumatic brain injuries. His cases include the following: a substantial settlement on behalf of the family of a woman who tragically died in an apartment fire because of the landlord's failure to install smoke detectors; a confidential six figure settlement against the Wade Funeral Home for the family of a gentleman whose decomposing body was found stacked in a garage with other corpses; and a significant settlement for a man who was violently struck by a tractor trailer and sustained severe spinal cord injuries.

Ed grew up in Woodbridge, Connecticut where he attended Amity Regional Senior High School. He received his B.S. degree from Northeastern University in 1993 and his law degree from Quinnipiac College School of Law in 1998. He joined the firm in January of 2003 after two years as a trial attorney for Allstate Insurance Company. Every year Ed organizes a fundraiser for his favorite charity: The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. The nonprofit camp is located in Ashford, Connecticut and serves children and families coping with cancer and other serious illnesses. http://www.holeinthewallgang.org Ed is also a board member of the Calamari Club; a local, philanthropic dinner club that meets once a month and donates time and money to various nonprofit organizations.

Ed is licensed in the State of Connecticut and admitted before the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.
